Nortek Ltd. was founded in Akureyri 1996. The first two years the company was controled from Akureyri. In 1998 activity was increased and office was opened in Reykjavík. Since then the years has passed and office has also been opened in Drammen, Norway.

Nortek specializes in comphrehensive solutions to security systems. These include access control, fire alarm, burglary alarm, surveillance cameras, fire extinguishers and gates and turnstiles.

Nortek offers consulting, design, sales, installation and services in the security field.
